Mirror, Mirror

I look in the mirror,
See you staring back,
I know it's now or never,
I look to the future, so black.

A mirror image in your face,
I find myself in you,
Yet somehow I feel out of place,
My transformation's overdue.

Mirror, mirror, watching me,
I feel your gaze within,
You look ahead to quickly see,
What always was and what could be.

Don't give up the image,
Don't say that it's the end,
You're staring at the problems,
Look in the mirror, my friend.

Fall into a broken mirror,
Make it whole again,
The coldest embrace of a mirror,
A broken soul remade.

Who ever knew a kiss could bleed?
That words could rip apart,
Mirror, mirror, broken love,
Within a broken heart.

Mirror, mirror, can't you see?
I held all you did in my heart,
You are within, inside me,
Though now I'm torn apart.

Your face stares back from the mirror,
See it fade, your image there no more,
You snatched the mirror from me,
And let it shatter on the floor.
