Dina opened her eyes to see a bright light that made her automatically wince, and shut her eyes again.

"Where am I?" She thought to herself, rubbing her stomach. She remembered getting shot, and could feel the pain ripping through her stomach as the memory flashed before her eyes. But that pain was nothing compared to the pain she felt watching Kevins final breath leave his body. Than it hit her. Kevin, where was Kevin? She opened her brown eyes once more, this time not being blinded, instead seeing a clear blue sky.

"Kevin?" Dina whispered against the light breeze as she sat up. She glanced around until a figure lying in the grass next to her caught her eye. She glanced down to see Kevin resting with his eyes shut, his body moving with his steady breathing. Dina felt joy every muscle in her body as she touched his warm cheek gently. She was beginning to wonder if this was a dream, or if it was real. Determined to see his brown eyes looking into her own, Dina shook Kevin gently. Kevin woke up with a start, sitting up so fast that it made Dina jump.

"Dina? Where are we?" Kevin asked, eyeing her. Her eyes filled with tears as she stared at the person who she thought died before her.

"Are you...real?" Dina asked, a tear falling. "Or am I dreaming?"

"Depends," Kevin began. "Do you remember dying together too?" And that was all Dina needed to hear to fall into his arms with relief. Kevin held her against his chest, knowing that this was real.

"How are we still alive?" Dina asked.

"I don't think we are," Kevin whispered, letting go of Dina, and staring out at the field that they were in looking at the many wildflowers surrounding them, and up to the sunset that was beginning in the clear sky. Dina looked at him, confused. "Heaven, or something like it." There was a silence around the two, a peace that was sweet. Dina looked at Kevin, who she loved, and touched his hand gently. He looked at her with a loving smile. A tear ran down her cheek as she leaned on his shoulder. This was never where she expected to end up, but at least she was here with him, and wasn't alone. He lifted her hand gently, interlacing his fingers with hers, and leaning his head on her own.

“I love you with all my heart, Dina Ashford,” Kevin whispered in a gentle, loving tone.

“I love you too, Kevin Worth,” Dina whispered back, closing her eyes happily. “Can we still say goodbye to the others?”

“We can, and we will, but we will phrase it differently,” Kevin grinned. “Goobye means you’ll never see them again, but we will see them again.” Dina smiled at this, and the two stood, ready to go see their friends.
