The clock strikes one
and away she flies,
the moon shining down
in the black sky.
She opens the door,
as quiet as can be;
her heart pounding,
anxious to be free.
The dark is deceiving,
she smells him; she knows
he's waiting
for the door to close.

He pulls her,
she resists;
her chance to leave,
already missed.

"Colin, please,"
she begs and she pleads,
but he doesn't listen,
he doesn't recede
from the pain he's inflicting,
his eyes a dark red,
his anger is tangible;
he wants her dead.

A gun shot rings out,
and she falls to the floor,
her lips open in surprise,
as he heads for the door.
