A Journey To The Moon

When nighttime reigns
I sit and gaze
Distressfully out the
window.
Oh how I long
To spread my arms
And be carried by
The wind.
To feel the air
Capsule around me
As the stars race
Past me
As I dart my
path to the moon.
I'll stretch my
Body and open
Up my arms.
I'll encircle
The light of the
night.
I'll gasp as we
Come in touch.
I can almost see
the luminescent
Glow orbit me,
Illuminate me,
Spread through me,
Cleanse me of all
my wrongs.
It will embrace
me tightly and
hold me close.
My mind is
clouded by a fog
of ecstacy.
I've never
breathed so deeply,
I've never
seen so clearly,
I've never
felt so alove.
I can nearly
feel my soul
Escaping free.
Roaming the
Endless, velvet
skies,
the moon within
me.
I'll fly,
And twirl,
And loop-the-loop
Until sunrise.
When daytime reigns
I'll sit and gaze
Distressfully out the
window.
