Author’s note.
My longest work yet! A big YAY for me. LOL.
Rergading for the title, 'Aitakute' roughly means 'I want to see you' in Japanese. Anyway, what inspired me to write this story was solely derived from a song sung by one of my favorite Japanese rock bands - UVERworld. It is a break from their usual rock styles and I must say I’m very much in love with that single. I strongly recommend listening to the song. Never mind if you don’t understand it. It’s really nice.
Oh and Takuya is the lead singer of the band, lest you haven’t figured it out yet.
I decided to retain the original lyrics of the song in the story because of the beauty of the words in Japanese. However, here’s the translation of the song excerpt which Jun sang:
Your smile, and your
voice on the phone, and your small body that’s no good in
crowds
And even your bad habits – they all shine out as things
only you have
All those things are the one and only
Inside me, my love
for you becomes the strength to live through tomorrow
If only we
could meet, we could put our faith in the same steps and walk this
road
Credits goes to Kiwi Musume for the lyrics and translation.
I don’t own any excerpt of the lyrics as they wholly belong to UVERworld. However, I must digress that the short poems in between the POV’s are entirely my own, so yeah. No stealing, thankyouverymuch. Reviews are more than welcome and will be very much appreciated.
Thank you so much for reading!
Sincerely,
