I Met Santa In The Bakery
“I met Santa in the bakery.”
“You did?”
“I did.”
“What was he doing?”
“In the bakery?”
“Yeah.”
“Eating a mince pie.”
“With sherry?”
“No, coffee.”
“Coffee?”
“Yeah.”
“Santa doesn’t drink coffee.”
“He did in the bakery.”
“What bakery was this?”
“The one down the road.”
“Not that one!”
“Yeah, that one.”
“So Santa was in the bakery eating a mince pie and drinking coffee with the reindeers?”
“I never mentioned reindeers.”
“How else would you know it’s Santa?”
“He wore the big red suit.”
“Oh… that still doesn’t mean – ”
“– He had a creamy white beard as well.”
“A beard made of cream?”
“No! A beard of a creamy colour.”
“Oh… so you saw a man with a creamy beard in a Santa suit with no reindeers but a mince pie and a coffee in the bakery?”
“Yeah.”
“So it might not have actually been the actual Santa Claus?”
“There was a nametag on the suit.”
“Saying ‘Santa Claus’?”
“Yeah.”
“So you’re saying that you saw a man with a creamy white beard in the bakery wearing a Santa suit with a nametag, having a mince pie and a coffee, and you're willing to bet everything you own that he was the actual Santa Claus who lives in the North Pole with the reindeers you never actually saw?”
“Yeah.”
“Ok…”
“Wanna grab a coffee?”
“Why not. Bakery?”
“Sure.”
