Can't Resist, but I Must

I cant place my finger on what draws me in

but it's there and that is all I know

I try to keep things clear in my head

but every time I try I fail

Despite the cliche I'm a moth

you're the flame

and you know how this will end

I despise myself for the slightest shred of envy within me

cause he's better for you than I could ever be

But like I said I'm a moth

You're the flame

and there is only one way that this could end

So forgive me if I seem too on edge

cause I'm fighting for the words

that can keep us close with out us getting burnt

like the moth who got too close to the flame
