Marionette

I’m just a puppet…

I always thought I was free…

She betrayed me…

I’m nothing…

Feeble with no choice

Strings dance above my head

As her tainted laughter surrounds me in the darkness…

Her echo runs through the strings restraining my arms…

Waiting to be cut free

I look up… you’re nowhere to be seen…

You’ve abandoned me…

I’m nothing…

No longer even a puppet…

You’re an accursed silhouette

But I’m less…

Like an odious ragdoll

Thrown away and left to die

Manipulated and cast aside…
