The Love I Desire

Everyone dreams up the love made just for them

Well I have my own type too and this is how it goes;

I want the kind of love that makes my heart lurch every time I see your face

The kind of love that makes my face brighten each time your name is mentioned

A love that makes me dream of us together only to wake up and be able to act out these dreams in their entirety

I want the kind of love that makes film writers want to know me because they have found a love that is better that The Notebook kind of love

I want the kind of love that makes my heart ache to be away from you because you have become apart of me and this divided castle of my heart cannot stand to be separate from you

I want the kind of love that makes me think about how our kids would turn out and what they would look like

The kind of love that makes me cringe at the very thought of making you sad

A love that makes my heart hurt at the thought of you leaving me

The kind of love that doesn’t think I would die without you,

But the kind of love that wouldn’t see the point of living without you

I want the kind of love that allows me to become so mad at you, only to look in your face and see each and every reason why I loved you in the first place

A love that is not defined by one person,

But the kind of life that is enhanced by the love that is shown by you and I

The kind of love pictured on Hallmark cards

I want the kind of love that makes me say “Damn, I wish I could die and come back so I can live through that kind of love again.”

The kind of love that can’t help but picture my life with you in it,

Cuz picturing my life without you is like trying to see words with no eyes

Or appreciating the clouds while having no sky

It just isn't possible, that’s the kind of love I desire.
