The Immortal Thoughts of a Vampire
Time?
Time becomes nothing when it can no longer hold you in its grasp.
To me,
Time is humanity.
You are born and your clock starts ticking.
And once it ends?
Your time is up, and Death carries you away gently.
It is unfortunate than you would want your time to stop.
Not end, you fear it ending,
But you would like it to stop,
To simply pause and continue no further?
How jealous it makes me that your clock is still ticking.
How jealous you make me when food still tastes like the gods’ nectar.
Enraged I am with you.
You have everything but you do not see it!
I have existed,
Not lived these past five hundred years.
Existed because I can no longer truly feel.
I have fed off your life giving you the one gift God blessed you with that I,
I will never be allowed to touch.
To know you are doomed makes this life a little sweeter.
To think that every last meal is your last,
Makes the food much tastier.
Maddened by this never ending nightmare of darkness and jealousy
I have become the nightmare in your dreams.
My symphony is one of screeching demons crawling their way from Hell
Into this dreadful world where you humans wish death was a simple fairytale.
Your symphony is of angels singing and trumpets playing as they welcome you,
Into their arms to a never-ending peace where you will sleep soundly for all eternity.
How foolish you are to want a life like mine!
How pathetic that you do not see the gentle hand of Death as it brings you eternal comfort!
But alas, I must not be so harsh.
You only fear what you do not know.
Your lives do not give you enough time to learn that death is not something to fear.
You do not realize that your bodies are ever-changing works of art that I can only stand
From afar and watch with enraged jealousy.
Death has given you the greatest gift.
An end.
An end that I will never have.
