Gangstas of Tokyo

Volume 1: The Lightning Gangsta

Meet the Characters:

Jody Riley- Youngest gangster born in Atlanta, GA. 5’9” and 136lbs, African American descent, small, squinted, and brown eyes; black/long braids, and has a scar 2 inches below his left eye. Since he can’t learn anything in America, his principal, mother, and even his best friend (Terrance Brown) agreed to send him to Tokyo. Unfortunately for Jody, this is going to be something more than a change of scenery (protagonist).

Kari Katanami- One of the very few people to grow fond of Jody. 5’7” with unknown weight, Japanese descent, blue eyes, and long/pink hair. Her parents invited Jody to live with them since he had nowhere to go and as repayment of saving her daughter from getting raped (friend).

Miroto- Miroto is the first friend Jody made in Tokyo. 5’9” and 122lbs, Japanese descent, blue eyes, and blond/short hair. Intrigued by Jody’s unique fighting style and culture, Jody takes Miroto under him as a friend, teacher, and later on an ally (friend/ally).

Tyrone (Ty) - Ty is the only person in Tokyo that can match Jody’s strengths and weaknesses. 5’9” and 140lbs, Asian American descent, brown eyes, and long black hair. He knows where Jody comes from, which makes him a friendly rival to him (friend/rival/ally).

King G- The antagonist of this story. No actual characteristics are available in this volume. Since the 1900s, he’s the reason in which gangsters are who they are today. By that, he’s the reincarnate of the evil “fire gangster”. You might call it “finding an equal to him,” and for Jody’s case, that’s him (antagonist/enemy).

G- When King G heard about a certain gangster in his city, he has a problem when he hears about Jody’s fighting skills. Have same characteristics as Jody, except for his red eyes. He made a flawless clone hoping to surpass Jody’s skills. What G doesn’t know is that Jody has a hidden power that might hurt him and King G in the struggle (enemy).

Terri- Miroto’s girlfriend after Jody helps them get together. 5’7” with unknown weight, Japanese descent, blonde eyes, and short/blonde hair. Another real friend of 5 that Jody has met in his first week in Tokyo. She likes it when Miroto and Jody gets into trouble with other people, and sees it as entertainment (friend).

Rina- when it comes to computers, she and Jody have a lot in common. 5’6” with unknown weight, Japanese descent, blue eyes, and long blue hair. Despite her shyness, they help each other with their schoolwork. Not only she’s great with computers, but also she’s excellent with everything dealing with technology.

Terrance Brown- He’s Jody’s best friend and gang member of Rogue Squad. 6’0” and 213lbs, African American descent, brown eyes, small black Afro, and has a scar on his back. He and Jody are real close since he killed the person who killed Jody’s father (this happened when Jody was eight). He helped Jody become the biggest gang leader since his father. He thought of the idea of sending Jody to Tokyo on a foreign exchange program because he knows the secret of the first known gang to be created. There is a prophecy that now concerns Jody, i.e., he thinks that Jody is the reincarnate of one of the 5 “elemental” gangsters (friend).

Other Characters:

Ratchet- One of the 5 gangsters under G’s gang. He is 1st Lieutenant in the gang (enemy).

Rocket- 2nd Lieutenant in the gang. He’s Ratchets younger brother (enemy).

Silhouette- Private First Class in the gang. She’s the girl that knows how to make a man weak, except for Jody (enemy).

.45- Private. He thinks he knows Jody, but not that well. He’s smart, but unlike Jody, he’s hot headed (enemy).

Chief Komoto (Chief) - Like the name implies he’s the chief of the police force and the Tokyo Special Forces (TSF). He notices Jody’s unique fighting style and invites him, despite his age, to join TSF.

Tech- With every agent, there is a weapons specialist. In Jody’s case, that’s Tech.

Dr. Lee (Doc) - In some point, Jody needs to train to become stronger. That’s Doc’s job as his sensei and doctor. Also, he has ways to conduct weird experiments on Jody to help him advance in his abilities.

Preface:

Since the 1900s, Asia had a special group of men to help them from danger. This group was simply called Gangs. In this gang, they’re 5 members that called themselves “gangsters”. They guarded an area where danger always strikes that today is now Tokyo. Each gangster possessed a special elemental power: Fire, Ice, Earth, Wind/Air, and Lightning. The leader (the Fire Gangster), instead of using these powers to help mankind wanted to use these powers to rule over the world. One day, since all the gangsters planned to teach one another their powers to become stronger, the leader use this as an advantage to kill his own after possessing each power. Only one other person was able to learn all the powers and stop the leader, the “Lightning Gangster”. This resulted in both gangsters dying in battle. Now in our time period, all 5 gangsters are reincarnated into 5 other people.

No one knows the exact identity of these gangsters except two other people. One of them is Terrance Brown, best friend of the youngest gang leader in the history of gangsters, Jody Riley. Jody is a 14-year-old teenager who resides in Atlanta, Georgia. He joined “Rogue Squad” (name of the gang) after witnessing the death of his father (preceding Rogue Squad leader) when he was only 8. Since Terrance killed the one responsible of his father’s death, he took Jody under him as his mentor, gang member, and best friend.

One day, Terrance got bored and did a little research about gangs. He found out about the true history of gangs and what was supposed to be the true purpose of its formation. He researched this on the same day when Jody was accused of attempting to rape a fellow student, while he was actually trying to save her (happened after school). Unfortunately, this was a setup to have Jody put into jail. Instead of taking him to jail like his principal and mother wanted, Terrance hatched the idea to put Jody in a foreign exchange program, preferably Tokyo. He did it not only to stop him from going to jail as a last resort, but he believes that Jody might be one of the 5 gangster’s reincarnate. Terrance never told anybody, including Jody, about this certain prophecy. Nevertheless, Jody was sent to Tokyo, importantly, to change his life around a little. Unfortunately, his life is about to get complicated as it is.
