Author's Note: This is the second version of this poem. After submitting it into my creative writing class I haven't changed it that much, bu I thought it would be worth uploading the revised version. Feel free to comment, but please make sure they're constructive!
Origami Life
Slowly created with the greatest care
each fold is perfect, each crease exact.
Emotion caught with white skin
is gone in a flash, when fire spins.
Carefully made, gently handled,
don’t let it tear, work with tender hands,
follow a pattern set down through the ages.
Then let it take flight, and watch it fall.
Life is a craned crafted from thin sheets
of purest white paper. Carefully made
and slowly created. Held loosely it will
drift away; held too tightly it crumples in pain.
