Creative Raindrops

Pitter patters of raindrops from keyboards
Echo against the empty, concrete walls
Of the cinderblock schoolroom.

Storms begin to take shape and grow,
As creative students sit next to their muse
And embark on typing out their minds.

Thunder erupts as the poems are printed,
Lightning flashes from the screens.
Louder and louder the noise becomes
As thoughts flash through minds in floods.

Slowly, the storm dwindles, and drifts,
As the racket and clamor become silent;
Weary imaginations shrink to small clouds.

Pitter patters of raindrops
softly come to an end.
