In the gentle breaths of spring I

Was a young blossom

Bright 'gainst green tree,

Breeze stirring vibrant passions

Longing to escape--

Boil over as days fade away,

Ripen, ephemeral bloom solidifies,

Glorious glistening citrus, rain-washed

Orange peel tempting passersby,

Promises of sweet satisfaction,

Sugary delight softens summer's heat,

Perfect pick—precious pleasure—

Shining innocently, bathed in sunlight,

Whisper 'go ahead, taste me to know'.
