Baby Dyke by Carol Lewis

'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves

Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;

All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.

"Beware the Baby Dyke, my girl
The scalp that shines, the colors that clash!
Beware the Jubjub Queen, and shun
The frumious Plastic Snatch!"

She took her vorpal dong in hand;
Long time the manxome lay she sought--

So rested she by the Tumtum tree,

And stood awhile in thought.

And, as in uffish thought she stood,

The Baby Dyke, with eyes of pride,

Came whiffling through the tulgey streets,

And burbled in its ride!

One, two! One, two! And through and through

The vorpal dong had a tasty snack!

She left her bed, and with maiden head

She went galumphing back.

"And hast thou lain the Baby Dyke?

Come to my arms, my beamish boi!

O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!"

He chortled in his joy.

'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves

Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;

All mimsy were the borogoves,

And the mome raths outgrabe.
