Sleet thrashes bare trees

Falcon frozen to his perch--

The world ends in ice.

--

Volcano erupts

Engulfs the town in lava--

The world ends in fire.

-

Branches hiss and snap,

Springtime green frozen over.

The world ends in ice.

-

Solitary spark

Ignites the dry underbrush.

The world ends in fire.

-

Ice cracks underfoot,

No hope in winter water.

The world ends in ice.

-

Hot oil burns dry thatch

And everyone trapped inside.

The world ends in fire.
