chapter 6
6 weeks later
Ravyn was finally out of the hospital and allowed home. Though his mother had kicked him out of the house after finding alcohol under his bed while he was in the hospital. The 17 year old now stayed with me and my family. I was still haunted by what happened with Chris but since I had seen him from time to time there was no way to get rid of him. I just canceled out that memory, though he had no problem with trying to reenact it. He cornered me once in the locker room and again later that same day in an empty hallway. I was depressed constantly I did my homework ate and watched tv in my room after school. The weekends were filled with alcohol. I was the one getting drunk when my parents weren't around. Ravyn had no problem with quiting and yelling at me for going against my morals.
"Shut up Ravyn. You...," I stumble as I walked towards him. "You have..." I started to breathe heavier. I ran into the bathroom and hung my head over the toilet bowl. I threw up more at that one point than my whole life. I was regretting getting drunk. Ravyn sighed as he stood in the doorway, leaning against the door. He smiled as he listened and watched me hurl a few times. I stopped and flushed the toilet. I could tell the next morning was going to be a hell of a hangover.
"Your first few times drinking sucks, huh?" Ravyn said as he looked up at the ceiling still in the same position as before, arms crossed and a hard look on his face. He smiled, "I remeber my first time. I couldn't hold my liqour one bit. I threw up after half a bottle of jack. You get used to the tastes and learn to hold your liquor after a while."
"Whatever," I barely said as I wiped my lower lip. Ravyn moved over to me and saat down on the floor and pushed my hair back behind my ears. I moved off of the toilet and over to the wall wear I normally sat when I needed to just sit for a second. I tilted my head back hitting the wall with just enough force for it to make a sound. Ravyn moved over next to me and moved my head so it rested on his chest. I could hear his heart beat. It went from slow, calm beating to a faster paced beat. I wanted to question it but my drunk self would have probably messed it up accusing him of something. I got up and turned the knob on the sink letting cold water run into my hands. I rinsed out my mouth and looked at Ravyn.
"Why do you do this?" he looked stern and wanted answers, not at another time but now.
"Don't worry about it," I said as I looked down at him. He rose quickly almost scaring me as he grabbed my arms and looked deep into my eyes. This was a side I had never seen from him. It was new, amazing, and a major turn on. I stopped myself from thinking that as I moved my head to look at the floor instead of those deep brown eyes. They were flaring right now. My body tensed and I lost all train of thought. I looked up at him then closed my eyes just about to cry. Apparently I was an emotional drunk. The next thing I remember was feeling something pressed against my lips and Ravyn's grip was now softer. I could feel my hands drift around Ravyn's neck at the all to familiar kiss. He slowly moved out of the door to the bathroom as I felt myself remembering my favorite part in my book so far.
The male character had cornered the female character in the room where they kept and trained the hawks. His body was pressed up against her and they were caught in a passionate kiss. She had a hold of his muscular arms as he swept her into his arms and whisked her away to his lair at the highest part of his secret house in the woods. He put her down and began to nibble at her neck. His fangs teased and taunted her.
A knock at the door had snapped me back into conscienceness and I looked at Ravyn. He wiped his lips and walked down the hallway to the door. I stood against the wall surprised and unaware of the events that just happened. I felt abit uneasy and went into my room, which was right next to me. I sat down on the bed and held my head. This was going to be a horrible morning I could tell.
I awoke just as I had thought, a HUGE headache while hearing Ravyn's music coming from his room next door. I sat up slowly holding my head and groaned. I wasn't going to dare scream like I normally would from my room. I rose up out of bed only to fall right back in, creating a loud noise as I hit the desk next to my bed knocking over the aspirin and water laid there, most likely thanks to Ravyn. I tried to stand again this time succeeding as I walked into the other room. As he saw me he turned down the music automatically.
"Hey Miss Hangover. How are you this bright morning."
I squinted my eyes as I stepped into the sunlight currently lighting up his room. I covered my eyes with the back of my hand as I sat on the edge of the bed. "Can we shut those blinds please?"
"Fine," He said as he walked from the dresser to the window. closing the blinds and looking at me from over his shoulder, "I see the hangover is holding up it's weight."
I groaned and layed down on the bed. "Your lucky your parents are out you know. They would torture you with your hangover as bad as it is."
I groaned again as I felt the bed sink from more weight. I peered over my body to see him sitting at my feet. He gave me a faint smile and moved his hand to place it on my leg, moving it up and down slowly in a comforting motion.
I moved into the middle of the bed and turned on my back, sighing. Ravyn moved closer to me leaning forward his face inches from mine. I turned wide eyed, "Um Ravyn?"
"Elli, please. I..I love you. I always have."
"Wha... What?" I muttered, "I thought that you only said that because you were drunk."
