Chapter 1 - Happy Birthday Julius!

Just so ya'll know, his birthday is January 7th...yeah...day school starts again, sucky for him but oh well, my birthday is the day school starts which is September 4th...so...yeah...lmao XD

Julius and his friends were going to a movie at the Famous Players 6 theatre called "Thump, Thump, Draagggg..." unknown to them that Rayne was there already and waiting for Jade, Renee and Jaden. While waiting in line for tickets, he heard a cell phone ring and looked around because he was really bored. He seen a girl, who was Rayne, answer her phone and then look annoyed.

"Okay, what are your excuses?!" she asked loudly while pacing. "Why are you skipping the most creepiest horror movie, aka urban legend, we've ever heard of?!" she asked again. "Who cares if I fricken scream in your bloody ear?!" she asked hotly. "I don't care if you're freakin sensitive!" she was steaming now. "What's Nay's excuse?! SHOPPING?! THAT'S IT?!" she started grumbling under her breath, "Who the hell cares if its the biggest sale of this year AND its your favorite store! I don't! Fine, you fricken blond!"

"What's Jay's excuse?" she started pacing again. "Homework...well at least her excuse is good! But you two! You two are abandoning me for stupid reasons! Renee for shopping and Jay-Jay so he could FREAKING BEAT HIS OLD HIGH SCORE?!" she yelled at the phone and was looking as if she wanted to throw it, but she couldn't, since it wasn't hers.

Julius turned from watching her to the guys and started to talk to them. As she got into line behind them, he heard her still arguing with the people she was talking to. "Hey, dudes, ya see the girl on the cell? She was psyching out at her friends or something because they had to bail on her for some reason," he said to his friends.

They laughed slightly before one of his more intelligent friends asked him, "How come you were watching her at all?"

Julius shrugged his shoulders but had a small blush on his face, "I...I dunno, I was bored!" he said defensively before letting them buy the tickets and then get into line at the concession.

Rayne had gotten into the line as well and was looking irate before it dawned on her that she was seeing a movie that she was absolutely terrified of as a story in itself. After freaking out about this fact, she decided that it wasn't SO bad and was actually looking forward to it before she remembered that she was a paranoid person and started to freak out even more. After getting her popcorn and drink, she walked to the theatre just behind the guys, trying to find a reason NOT to be freaked out.

Julius walked with his friends and looked behind him to see her looking around the theatre quickly before she locked eyes with him. She scowled at him but when he raised an eyebrow at her she quickly looked away with her face turning a little bit pink. Julius shrugged his shoulders and walked over.

"Hello, are you okay?" he asked.

Rayne sniffed haughtily, "Yes, thank you," she snapped.

He nodded his head disbelievingly. "Righhtt...and that's why you look like you've seen a ghost," he said sarcastically. She glared at him. "What movie are you seeing?" he asked, changing the subject.

She looked away and said: "Thump, Thump, Drag..."

Julius shook his head, "Actually, you have to extend the drag, like so: Draagggg, ya dig?" he grinned when she smiled in spite of herself.

After conversing with Rayne for a while, Julius and the others reached the theatre. “Hey, um…” he just noticed that he didn’t know her name!

She smiled slightly if not in annoyance, “Rayne…yours?” she held out her hand and he took it before introducing himself.

“Julius,” he answered and grinned, “so, you wanna sit with us?” he asked and Rayne thought if over before one of Julius’ friends said the movies title in an eerie voice.

“Yeah, sure,” she said a bit too quickly. “Uh…I’ll find you guys in there, okay?” she said before going back towards the washroom. As she finally reached it, she took out her parent’s cellphone and dialed Jade’s number.

A few rings later, a sleepy Jade answered. “Hullo?” she asked and Rayne looked annoyed.

“Were you sleeping?” she snapped.

“No…just resting my eyes cause of all the homework I have for break…where are you?” she asked.

“I came to see ‘Thump, Thump, Drag’…you were-,”

Before she could finished, Jade interrupted her, “YOU WENT TO SEE THAT YOURSELF AND DITCHED ME?!” she hollered into the phone before the line went dead.

Rayne stared at the phone before using the washroom and then walking out of said washroom. While she was walking, Jade ran up to her and was panting heavily.

“Wha…how’d you do that?” Rayne gave Jade a bewildered look as Jade handed the ticket person her ticket.

“I…drove…and…ran…” she panted.

Rayne shook her head. “You’re so weird...anyways, I met these guys and they’re gorgeous!” she said with a grin. Jade had to give her a smile although she was still panting. “Yeah, they let me sit with them, too!” she hissed as they walked into the theatre.

Julius stood, “Eh…hey, Rayne and the person she’s with, over here!” he yelled to them.

Nearly everyone in the theatre shushed them and Jade rolled her eyes, “The movie didn’t even start yet…what, are you seriously trying to watch trailers?!” she yelled at them and walked over towards the blond emo. “Hullo, I think I broke a record getting here from all the way by Ospika…and running from the parking lot by London Drugs™, so yeah, be happy I didn’t keel over,” she said and plopped down next to the brown haired, brown eyed hottie, Jesse.

He smiled charmingly at her but it was ignored.

Rayne raised an eyebrow at her but shook her head and sat next to Julius. “Jay…don’t exaggerate, you were at the library and you know it,” Rayne said and looked annoyed.

Jade shrugged her shoulders, “Details, details,” she said with a wave of her wrist.

“Oh, my god, didja guys see the match between Foley and Hornswaggle versus those two Scottish guys? It was cool!” Jade said as the trailers continued. A few people around them were getting annoyed but didn’t say anything and Jesse was watching Jade with a perplexed look.

“How come you didn’t swoon when I smiled at you?” he finally asked as Jade took a helping of his popcorn.

Jade looked over at him, looked him up and down then shrugged. “Dunno…maybe I don’t think you’re ‘swoon’ material or maybe I just didn’t notice or maybe I don’t find you sexy enough to swoon over or-,”

Rayne covered her mouth and rolled her eyes, “We get the picture,” she said.

Jade shrugged again and started eating her popcorn…well, Jesse’s popcorn. Jesse pulled it away and she glared at him before sitting there with a pout before snatching his drink. Rayne and Julius looked at each other and rolled their eyes at the same time.

“They are-,”

“Meant-,”

“For each-,”

“Other…” Rayne finished and had to grin, Julius did too. Jesse and Jade glared at them before bickering some more until the movie started.

“Ya think we should set em up?” Julius whispered to Rayne.

Rayne gave him a devious smile. “Sure thing,” she replied before watching the movie.

This was the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
