I Wear The Mask That Death Gave Me
I wear the mask
That Death gave me,
And hide my face
In His masquerade.
I wear the mask
That Death so kindly granted me,
And now my paper face is white
And black, like ebony.
I wear His mask
And smile prettily,
Yet I feel the cold and hollow,
And drown in such sorrow.
And as I wear Death's mask,
I dream a face in color,
And know,
You are not alone.
For tomorrow I will parade
His mask in my hellish charade,
And think of you.
No one will know I'm dying.
