I Miss You

I need you now,
You told me to stay strong,
All the days,
That you would be gone.

I haven’t been myself,
After you went away.
My daily routine,
Completely went astray.

Lately my disposition,
Has been so morose.
I need to feel your arms,
Hold me close.

I never thought it was possible,
To miss someone so much.
I am so listless and empty,
Starving for your touch.

You left without me,
I fell into despair.
The pain that follows,
I can hardly bear.

I am barely living,
Without you here,
Wasting away,
With every tear.

When I fall asleep,
And dream of you,
My eyes are wet from dreams,
Yet to come true.

In all of my dreams,
You’re right at my side.
But when I awake,
I feel like I’ve died.

Do you think of me,
Every moment waking?
Do you dream of me,
Without your heart breaking?

This month it seems,
That isn’t my case.
There is nothing,
That can take your place.

So come back to me,
Sooner than today.
Come back to my arms,
Where forever you’ll stay.
