Distant Ache

Tears are wasted
On the hopeless
And absorbed by the hopeful

But either way
They continue to fall
And every time I sink
A little deeper

Closer to death
And further from the light

Though, I know
As long as you smile
I'll try to be ok

So I can always watch
But never be

Now I’m not very good at poetry…really. This was just one that I had done and liked somewhat, though not as much as my TYF, but here it is anyway.
