fire and ice

summer nights under the stars

the grass swaying in the breeze

it soothes us

while we sway to the rhythm

finally i can live life

with every breath

no one to control me

no one to hold me down

in my jail cell of a bedroom

your hands upon my waist

feel warm against my frozen shell

melting away my mask

my costume

this act i play every second

they pull me closer

protecting me

i look into your eyes

i get lost within your eyes

those beautiful amber gems

they are fathomless

glowing

they free me from

my dragon guarded dungeon

the moment feels right

the eyes of my friends watch us

but they don’t matter

i am lost

but I am not alone

you are with me

fate guides me now

do not leave my side

just lean in

my heart, the metronome inside my chest

transforms itself into a drum

the deepest base drum

it pounds against my ribs

i feel it

but our lips meet

your lips are flame

mine like frost

yours melt mine

mine soothe yours

heat and cold

sun and moon

heatstroke and hypothermia

summer and winter

light and dark

desert and sea
