Love

This is nothing.

It was configured by someone

Who wanted a great, wonderful feeling.

Neither great nor good is it.

We throw the meaningless word around

As if it were a tattered, old, torn baseball.

It is an excuse to perform

Deathly, disastrous deeds.

Abuse, treason, murder.

“LOVE” can only cause pain.

Increasing immunity inside our hearts

And growing thick, stone walls around them.

“LOVE” is another word for trust.

Because of the deceptiveness of our species,

The only person you can genuinely trust is yourself.

The illusion of “LOVE”

Is like alcohol,

We get drunk and oblivious to the obvious

And then we get hurt…

But there is a legend :

Maybe for one second, a decade or two,

You may be fortunate to feel your body tremble

Under the true power of

T R U E L O V E.
