These are things I know:

My name is Vanessa Rose Taylor.

I'm sixteen years old. I was born on the nineteenth of September, nineteen ninety one.

When I was five years old, my parents left me in the middle of Central station and didn't come back.

A policeman found me on the ten-seventeen pm train to Wollongong, sans a ticket, with my birth certificate in my backpack, my passport stuffed into my jacket pocket and my parents nowhere in sight.

I've been searching ever since.
