In the Pit of Death

Love is death,
It cannot breathe.
Surrounded by darkness
Swallowed by passion.
Segregated feelings
Love is in the back.
Convictions to trust
Are unwise,
or not to bother.
Advocating to lust,
Gone beneath the dust.
Thoughts are seen,
Through the weary lights.
Misleading passion
In turn to sweltering love.
Minding the hatred
Ignoring segregation,
Leaving the love behind;
Not just in the past,
But in the pit of death.
