Choices Poem 1/15/08

Water polo is the best sport

Quitting would be a last resort

Homework does drive me crazy

But quitting water polo may make me lazy

The chlorine burns my eyes

But I cannot disguise

Water polo is my passion

It never goes out of fashion

The only thing that makes me worry

Is the wild homework flurry

Will my grades suffer because of my large agenda?

Or will it make me sweeter, like Splenda?

I’ll have to work harder to keep up my grades

But the urge to play polo never fades

So although I know some nights will be rough

I think I can do it if I stay tough
