A simple kiss

Holding hands

Nothing much

Just a touch.

But I won’t do it.

It’s just not me.

I won’t touch you with company.

I know we’re together

And it’s the norm

But whoever said

I followed trends?

You knew this when you met me.

And you smiled and laughed

Saying you didn’t care.

But now it’s just not fair.

Cry and moan all you want

I’m not some thing you get to flaunt.

I trust you, but do you trust me?

I know the other girls want you

And I trust that you know I want you too.

But do I have to show my want to not only you

But the entire student body too?

I’m not one for romantic kisses,

Flamboyant displays,

And indecent ways.

I’m done with this argument

I wonder where that cute boy went?

The one who said he didn’t care.

I’d follow him no matter where.

So don’t ask for a simple kiss

Or to hold my hand.

I won’t do it, especially with others.

If you want my affection, then ask for it

Because when you do

It will be true.

I don’t understand why you care

People see us everywhere

They knew how we feel and they couldn’t care.

So why do you pressure me so much, dear?

Public Displays of Affection bother me...
