I sit back and think

Has it really been four years since our relationship began to sink.

I know that we are worlds apart

But although I’ve moved on, inside me there is a tiny part

That hasn’t really forgotten about you.

Sometimes at night I wonder

What would have happened if we hadn’t drifted away?

Would we still be going out to this day?

When I first started my two parter you were by my side

You brought me out of my shell

You comforted me when I heard that my grandfather had died

We broke up and it tore my heart that year

We are so far away and yet very near

Sometimes I think about our relationship and how it blundered
