Spellbound

She whispered softly to me
Telling me to come closer
Her voice was so beautiful, so melodic
I couldn’t resist such beauty
As I lingered closer I felt
A type of darkness embrace me
It was almost like life perfected
I was suddenly held down by her spell
How could I have not seen this?
She deceived me with her evil ways
I never thought this would happen to me
Being lead into trickery, I feel so hopeless
I’m now a slave to a beautiful disaster
Here in this place empty, and yet whole
I hide behind my shame and call it home
Will I ever be free or live this was eternity?
My hopes are all I have until I’m unchained
