Price to Pay

Remember me for the better

And not the worst

We all change and make mistakes

It was never my intension to become cursed

There’s only so much one can take

I’m afraid things won’t be the same

And I will lose those I love

All because you taught me this selfish game

How could I have done this to you?

You gave me life and I threw it in your face

I never meant to be so cruel

But I was falling from grace

There’s always a bitter price to pay

For our leading into disarray

As cold as it might seem

It truly mends us to who we need to be
