In My Dreams

I need you so bad, it hurts to think about it
I want you to be with me, but you're not
Perhaps we will be together soon
Or are you always to be in my dreams?
I don't know which way it will be
But you do not know how much
I wish you were real and with me.

I have often thought about you on my solitary nights
Those nights in which I feel so much pain
But, at least, I have some escape,
When I close my eyes and see you standing beside me.
It may not seem like much to you, but these dreams of you
Are all I have to get me through these long nights
Sometimes I wonder if somewhere out there you actually exist
And if you do, if we'll ever be together
Or are you always to be in my dreams?

I may wonder and I may hope,
But will my dreams ever be
Anything else than just a dream?
I don't know and I'm not sure
But, for now, you will always be in my dreams.
