La Danse du Péché

Shoes scuff the floor.

Heels click to a rhythmic latin tune.

Musk and roses scent the air.

Women twirl their skirts,

Long white legs flexing as they step.

Their backs arch poetically.

Men clasp hips and thighs,

Bowing gracefully over their partners.

Their chests heave powerfully.

Men and women sway,

Men and women sweat,

Flinging each other away

- with desperation –

Flying back to each other’s arms

- with passion –

In a manic dance of lust:

The vertical expression of horizontal desire.

AN: The title translates to 'the dance of sin.'
