Elegant Emotions

More than what the eyes can perceive

I honestly believed something must be terribly wrong with me. That was all I needed to claim this world as a scam. To clarify, my theory is that I must be in an artificial world, observed by perverts with scrutinizing eyes fixed on those scary hidden cameras. I totally felt like an alien with long pointed ears and bulging eyes only because I sensed that deep within I was so different from everyone else. Attending high school as a female at the age of sixteen was absolutely normal, even if all your friends had boyfriends and girlfriends, passed all the exams except you and did not need to even study – what was wrong then?

All the others in my class knew things before the teacher even taught it, had great athletics skills, and let’s just say they were all perfect.

Wow! I know, I know by this point everyone must think that I am this stupid idiot and needs no recognition for considering these things. But wait! How can everyone be so perfect at everything they do? Impossible. So, here is where I will warn you. This is not about a teenage girl’s failure at school, but something much scarier than that. Be warned. When I first learnt of the story myself, I could not even react. Now, if you can still bear with me and wish to find out, I will try my best to explain my thesis on the mysteries of my world and myself.

Like, who does not want to be an everyday-er?

Right or wrong is often undefined

I might have made the mistake of my lifetime when I accepted this challenge, but it has happened and there was no turning back. It was about two months ago that I saw a poster about a programming competition with a great prize. I could only say I was completely shocked when I found out the task was to...allow me to say no more on this topic. It was then that I enrolled Luna at her current school, and hence gave my consent for the disaster to unfold. I hope she could understand my difficulties and that I too was a victim of this competition. It was no longer a game, but more like a play on humanity. What could I do?

They claimed it was for humanity and our future and that entering this competition meant helping to shape the new world. Even I had fallen for this trap until I realized it was far from the reality. Beneath their mask was evil and greed. I was sure. They wished to set their own rules on the world. I shall pave my own destiny.

A/N:

First problem, I can’t categorize this. The concept is science fiction and fantasy. The plot/storyline is romance/drama/humor and a maybe some action adventure. That killed it. There’s more too.

Contrary to the fact that I like to act more than watching people act I haven’t been writing creatively since quite a long time. At my best, I’ve been editing old chapters that were unposted and doing slight continuations. Sorry, no ‘unposted’. I like making up words to make things easier.

Briefly, this thing took two months to get the concept right. So in that time, I did a lot of learning, of both mistakes and improvements. Hope it worked out. Cheers, and read on then. Thanks.

To be continued...
