I sat up quickly in my bed. My chest heaved up and down and my hands shook. Just another nightmare, I told myself. I threw my legs off the side of the bed and slid my feet into my flip-flops. I quietly slipped out the door and down the hall of my dorms. I walked out the door and shivered as the crisp night air struck my bare arms. I quickly walked over to another dorm building and tried the door but to no avail. I had known it was always locked but it was always worth a try.

But then I saw a guy walking down the hall and I quickly knocked on the door. He walked over and opened it, but used his body to block my entry. He looked like an RA.

“Can I help you?” he asked untrustingly but he was suddenly shoved aside by a much larger guy and I slipped through the door.

“Were you just going to let the lady stand out there and freeze all night?” he asked the RA. He then turned his attention to me. “I’m Blake. And you are?” he asked as he gave me the once over.

“Not interested.” I said as I shoved by him and ran over to the stair well. I hiked up two stories and went to the third door on the right.

I knocked on the door and a moment later the door opened and he stood there with his eyes barely open and his hair disheveled. He looked so sexy. I threw myself into his arms and he wrapped his around me.

“What’s wrong, Bailey?” he asked worriedly.

“I had another nightmare, Kale.” He brought me into his dorm room and shut the door behind us. He led me to his bed and I crawled in and scooted over to the wall. He got in behind me and draped his arm over my waist. He pulled me closer so my back was flush with his chest.

“Do you want to talk about it?” he asked as he nuzzled his nose into my hair.

I shook my head. “Just being here with you is fine.”

He smiled and closed his eyes. “It’s fine with me, too.”
