And when my tears trickle
Down the blackest crevices
Of your fading mind, filling up,
Overflowing them with liquid love,
Then will you choose to see?
The holes cast monstrous shadows
Down the ravines in your mind
Where you hide and crouch
In claustrophobic spaces, hiding
From the resurrection of Sun's warmth
And when I fill your emptiness
With watery plaster and patterned
Band-aids, pressing soft lips
To the cuts and bruises invading
Splintered mind, will you smile?
You suffocate in a world of shadows and
All I can do is weep for you, for your
Silent withdrawal, even as I continue
To try and chain you to my reality: I'm just
Painting plastic smiles on broken dolls.
