One year later....

“I have good news,” he said, stroking her hair while he gazed at the ancient book.

Cy smiled lazily in his arms, her own hand petting a sleeping Blix's crown, “Mm?”

“There is a world jointed to this one called the Shadow World,” he told her, “According to this it is a safe place for para-normals.” He paused to kiss her forehead, “And I did promise you a fresh start. Both of you...”

She looked up into his forest green gaze, “Would I still be dead?”

“No. You would be truly alive,” he smiled, finding it hard to contain his joy, “What do you think, my angel.”

“I'm wondering why you want this so bad,” she responded, stretching. She looked at their warm, dark home with a silent affection.

He crept up behind her and bit her shoulder, drinking the smallest amount he could as she stroked his cheek tenderly. When he pulled away he murmured, “I hope I will not be...so fucked up in this world. I hope it will make me into a man deserving of you.”

A smile crossed her lips, “Your silly, Seth.” She caught one of his disparaging, thoughtful looks that usually meant he had descended into a personal Hell, “Let's do it.”

His eyes brightened, “You mean that?”

She nodded, “Yes! Its an adventure, why not!”

“I have to warn you, love. Once we enter the portal we may not remember each other...we may be completely different people. The portal will reincarnate us into our Shadow World dopplegangers.”

Cy looked over at Blix silently for a moment. It pleased her how much he had filled out. He looked his young age for once. “I'm willing to do it, Seth. I know we'll find each other again.”

Hours later they stood before a swirling maelstrom in the ocean that crackled with lightning.

Seth cupped his bride in the folds of his coat. She held onto Blix as they eyed it for a moment.

“Are you sure, mother,” Blix whispered softly. He clasped her skirts tightly, an obvious fear for the maelstrom on his features.

“Yes.” Was all she gave. She squeezed his hand.

And stepped in.

Seth smiled at her courage and nodded to Blix, vanishing into the swirling waters. And Blix, finally smiling sincerely for once, followed suit.

Author's note:

Thank you so much for your support during this run and I hope I can continue to progress based on your criticism and opinions. Thank you so much everyone! I hope I can write the story these two lovebirds deserve with your help!
