On the Computer Screen
In the morning,
I walk into the computer room,
sign into YIM,
and feel a smile blossom across my face
as I see your name on the "online" list.
I never expected to be this happy
to see just one name there,
but amazingly,
I am
and the fact that you are here
(although not here)
is actually enough for a few moments.
You make me feel wonderful,
like I am truly loved
for the first time in my life,
as utterly cliched as that sounds.
I always say the same thing
at the end of our conversations.
"I love you."
And those words...
Well, let's just say
I can't wait until I can say them in real life.
