Transformation of the Heart and Soul

By: Gothic Lust

Crying is when the soul begins to collect

The shattered pieces of a broken heart,

But when it reaches for the pieces, it realizes

The heart can never be whole again.

The soul continues to cry because reality is now lost,

Warped and twisted like the crack that couldn’t be fixed.

I weeps in despair hoping that someday

Another caring soul will happen along to comfort her.

It these moments the human throat thickens,

It becomes hard to breathe,

The nose begins to run and the eyes begin to bleed.

Crying repairs the soul, but the heart is still fragile,

The game of life is like glass in a child’s hands,

Beautiful, but so easily broken.

The child tries to repair its toy,

But it will never look the same, feel the same

And with each drop the look changes,

The original structure now far from reach.
