“Earth, Air, Fire, Water”

Calling to the spirits North

Calling for you to stretch forth:

In many different ways you come

We still can’t figure when you’re from

Beneath our feet we feel a rumble

And then you laugh as we all tumble

Calling to the spirits East

Calling to the godly feast:

Fingers tracing through my hair

Leaves a-flying way up there

The meadows rippling seas of green

And swirling circles free and keen

Calling to the spirits South

To keep the evil spirits out:

Embers twinkling on the ground

Crackle-crackle goes the sound

Dancing flame of candlelight

And waving heat that blurs the sight

Calling to the spirits West

Being wary is the best:

Crystal liquid in my bowl

Yet then upon blue waves you roll

Winding snakes of azure path

With fickle whims of restful wrath

Calling to the deep Within

The orb of life hereafter spins:

I see you there among the pages
Black and white the words your cages

Step around and feel the sound

The sight, the smell, of life around

Earth, Air, Fire, Water

Earth, Air, Fire, Water

Earth, Air, Fire, Water
