Fine Frenzy

You were a year of my life

More varied and painful than any I've ever had

Yet encased in your lies, there were good times

Times when I could forget what you are

Times when your kiss could wash away the pain I never could

You were my first

More precious to me then anyone I've ever met

But you threw it all away out of trite jealousy

You broke my heart first, so I guess we're even now

You may have seen the light, but it's dark in here

And you will never know me like I know you

Just let me let you go

Don't call me, don't follow me, don't claim to love me anymore

I want to be free of your tyranny

I want to know what it means to be happy

Alone

As I am

A Fine Frenzy
