Save Me

Life's just this monotonous pattern

It's like there's nothing left to strive for

My mind is numb is I can't seem to care

It would be all too easy to just fall

To let myself slip into oblivion

To give up on you, to give up on me

To just quit trying to salvage life

You told me you cared

That you'd always be there for me

But now that I'm falling

Now that I'm struggling to keep going

You're not here for me

You don't even seem to care

I'm pushing you away and you don't notice

Please, just look me in the eyes

Call my bluff and protect me from myself

Let's watch a movie together

Wrap your arms around me

Whisper reassurances in my ear

I'm slipping away into nothingness

I'm falling into the apathy I once feared

And you're the one that can save me

If you'd just take a few minutes

Try to pull me out of this hole

Don't let me push you away

I need to be saved by you

And I don't think it would take much

Just come back to me, for me

Break this monotonous pattern

Give me a reason to live

Be the reason I keep trying

Before it's too late and I lose myself
