My broken Music box

This broken music box is driving me insane,

And sending my heart back into the shameful pain.

The music is so lost and the rhythm is wrong,

Eating away at my heart until it’s all gone.

The sad little tune blew out its blazing fire,

My heart saving a piece of lustful desire.

My broken music box once sang a song of love,

Freeing my spirit into those white clouds above.

But now it’s deciding that it will quit,

Singing this song that’s just not worth it.

The song will have a new kind of key,

That will lock me in, not setting me free.

I will be locked inside like a caged dove,

That won’t get out and lose sight of love.

Can you keep my music box playing my song?

The song I love, where I feel like I belong.
