Sarah and Natalie went out for a drink,

So they drove to a Bar, Sarah said “don’t you think…”

Natalie replied. “Oh, come on, what could go wrong?”

“I don’t know…” said Sarah, “…Alright, but not long.”

So they drank and they partied then drank some more,

They had fun as they danced across the busy dance floor.

All much too soon it was time to go,

Natalie drove, swaying to and fro.

The girls saw lights, first green, and then red.

Faster and faster the spinning car sped.

There were crash booms and bangs, and then sirens rang loud.

When Sarah awoke, she silently vowed,

That if ever a chance there was to drink.

She would think of the day Natalie died; the day she said “don’t you think?”

Sure drinking is fun,

But with life- are you done?

Ask yourself before you drink and drive,

Would it be safer if I called for a ride?
