Introduction

Demapiens: human-demons. They at one were normal humans but then they were captured and changed into blood and flesh hungry creatures of hell. They are immortal and tough to kill unlike normal demons. They are stronger than both races and much faster; built as machines of war. No one knows for sure who began the project. All's they know is some power hungry maniac thought it be cool to mess with people's minds and souls. He didn't care about the consequences. All he wanted was more power. Very few of the demapiens survived the experiments without going mad. Only one stood above the rest. A kinetic; he was beaten by his folks so they assumed that was why he survived and thrived. One day hunger toke over his body and he lashed out at everyone in the facility; killing them all, eating their flesh and drinking their blood. He fed with no pain or regrets just the need to feed. Then he escaped by flying out into the sky on his new demon wings. He's the only known demapien to have wings.

Chapter 1

75 years later…

Jessebelle watched over the brightly lit metropolis of New York City, NY. He sighed heavily and groaned slightly at mankind's foolishness.

If only they knew, Jesse chuckled slightly.

If mankind really knew what went on in their world right under their noses they'd asked to be strangled with their umbilical cords at birth. That's the ugly truth of this world, Jesse sighed with despair, I guess its better that they don't know, that way at least they are safe in their own little worlds.

Jesse then jumped down from his perch upon the rooftop of an apartment complex. He then landed perfectly on his feet without any injuries. The civilians stared at him then went back to their own business. This is what usually happened when strange things occurred. The citizens of New York City were used to odd happenings. It was just part of the daily routine. Though he got a few gasps and more stares from the tourists.

Typical tourists, they're not used to demonic activities. They probably get hardly any from where they're from. Where they come from the local authorities probably cover everything up, Jesse sighed and grumbled.

He hated tourists. He thought they were utter imbeciles. Then he just walked away towards his condo down the block.
