A/ N: Kind of TWLOHA inspired. I'm still fiddling around with this writing piece, too, so any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Diaries On My Palms

These diaries are written on my palms
Like the scars are etched in my arms
They are stories
The Knight’s tales to go with the glory

They are all reminders
Of who I didn’t know I was
All staking claims
On my blood

My palms are clean now
Nothing but the dry soapy smell remains
No stories to tell
No ink stains

The trembling was washed away
And the scars have healed since that day
I have no reminder
Or way to reminisce
The things that were

No one has any way to see
All of the things I use to be
They only see who I am today
And who it is
That I portray

Now everything seems so far
The memories as faded
As the lines of the scars
Water has washed away the words
Like seasons fly away the birds

The diaries have faded off my palms
Disinfectant has healed my arms
The stories finally faded
But the numb inside me is still sedated
