A/N: This is a cento-based poem that was written a couple of months back and it expresses the feelings of a man about not only his lover but his relationship with her too. He questions the subject of love and celebrates love through having sex, one of the greatest joys and pleasures known to man (and woman).
The Art of Love
Swept with confused alarms of struggle and flight
I thought of the last wild look on your face
My wife with eyes full of tears
Lying on my table
Are you my Angel?
I’ve asked this question quite often
And have rarely been to
Come up with a short answer
I get almost a mystic feeling
It’s no easy thing for us
To understand the words as so liberated
Is to understand poetry
How to change “I love you”, that most overused
Of all expressions, into something alive?
It’s necessary to get affection, love.
A certain kind of understanding
I suppose, but I say it rather softly
“Oh love, let us be true to one another”
And the voice said:
“I haven’t seen you in so long”
She was a beautiful woman
Piercing tongues like
Scent of magnolias, sweet and fresh
A few light kisses, a few embraces
A reaching around of arms
I would like to thank you
For your sweet love remembered
Such worth brings
Love that lives and reigns in all my thoughts
In bed I forget all details
Then she who teaches us both love and patience
Just imaging pleasure…
I hear her groan then
I hear my heart beat faster and loud
My wife with the sex of a mirror
They say it’s like softness there
It excited me not only because it was beautiful
But there’s that sense of a “sounding and moving space”
Stop,
Go,
Again, and then hang back once more
A/N: So what do you think if it then, hmm? Please leave a review while you’re at it xD
