Moonrise

He leaned forward and pressed his cold lips to mine. But only for a second. He pulled away and a curious smile played about his lips.

“ ‘Till tomorrow, then?”

I smiled down at him and nodded.

He turned and jumped from the window ledge, disappearing into the darkness below.

I never saw him again.
