There once was a little boy
Who saw a big man yell
This was not an uncommon occurrence
In fact, it happened quite often

The little boy simply wanted to run and hide
But there was no place to run
So the boy had to take it

The big man thought the little boy was learning to take it like a man
But there was only a little boy
Taking it like a little boy

The immediate effect was enough to satisfy the big man
Who saw nothing wrong with what had happened
But the worst effects were yet to be revealed

As time went by the little boy grew in age
But he did not progress the way most little boys did

Talking to others was never easy
Adults would unintentionally make him nervous all the time
With the slightest mistakes, he was ashamed
Always affected by the big man even when he was no longer there

Time continued to pass
The little boy found the strength he needed
To live life healthy
And he grew into a young man

No longer affected by the big man
He could now live a normal life
It was a struggle still
But he now knew he was worth it

The big man always knew the little boy was gonig to turn out to be a young man
But he was wrong when he thought that he would be an important part of it
