As strong as many solid chains hold firm,

they can't compare to love with white-hot threads.

An often frivolously-used term,

its meaning has been hidden 'neath time's treads.

Thy fair complexion stays undimm'd through time;

all men must now adapt to that long-lost,

but long as roiling love can live in rhyme,

a face preserved can last through any cost.

Hair falls across they eyes with practiced ease;

the mention of your name can stop my heart,

and never will my love for you decease.

I pray that I might die before we part.

So love, a slightly-antiquated feeling

still sends my not-yet-aged mind to reeling.
