kind of embarrassed at this one, but what the heck. I was obsessed when I wrote it... back in April 2007

A Made Day In April

By: Chi Yagami

It was if you had come to me

On a starlight lake, dark and dreamy

The moon vibrant, the soil serene

And when rose petals fall from above

Casting a light shadow around you

You take my hand to you

To show me my latter worries away

Four years of waiting, of giving

Nothing needed in return, nothing expected in return

Four years of chasing an impossible fantasy

Humbly turning down my latest request

Only to make one of your own

Although it was not direct

And your voice was still unreadable

It made me happy, it made me cry

I don’t think you realize how much it means

Instead of embracing you like I wanted

I ran away with my face hidden like a coward

I did not want you to see me

But you made my day, my week, my month

And perhaps some day I can make yours
